Meaning in plain language
Independent means the provider is not represented here as hotel staff or the hotel spa. Booking, payment and access are arranged separately. The hotel’s brand does not endorse the appointment merely because the guest stays there.
The important distinction
Ask the hotel directly for hotel-operated spa services or room billing. Use this site’s contact for an independent enquiry only.
A concrete massage example
“Plain product, gentle gliding, no fragrance and no stretching” is a workable brief. It sets four separate preferences without promising a medical result.
How it relates to gentle oil massage
The hands glide rather than tug at the skin. Too much oil can feel slippery and vague; too little may create drag. Either can be adjusted. A quiet session may use fewer changes of direction so the contact is easier to anticipate.
Choosing the setting
Ask about clean linens, product containment and how used materials leave the room. Perfume in an oil is a separate choice from the oil itself. A fragrance-free request should include both the product and any added room scent.
For a fuller explanation, read the gentle oil massage guide. The movement reference explains vocabulary; specialist availability still requires confirmation.
